This day is Shushan Purim, when those living in cities which were walled in the time of Joshua, celebrate the Jewish Feast of Purim. Shushan is Hebrew for Susa, the then capital of the Persian Empire. We celebrate it in Jerusalem.
Don't suppose Eureka CA, Newport WA, or Hong Kong were walled cities 3200 years ago? Thought not. ;-)
