Hello to all members!

After some years resting on buying antics due the family, I recently bought this red overlay glass carved bottle. As I am far from being an expert in this subject, I would like to know your opinion over this. I am very happy with the carving quality!!!

Thanks in advance!,
Albert.

I am also far from being an expert with overlay bottles Albert. I believe it is ok for dating, 1780-1850.

Let's see what others here think.

Dear Albert, sure it is a very nice bottle.
In my experience, the quality of a bottle is strongly related to the type and quality of the foot.
A bottle with the foot seen in the second picture posted, is always associated with a great quality bottle. By simply looking at that foot one should buy the bottle even without seeing the rest.
Kind regards
Giovanni

Hi Albert,

Thanks for sharing your collection. The theme of
8 deities crossing the sea (八仙过海 in Chinese ) has
been very well carved out on this red-overlay
bottle 👍
