Hi, and thanl you for letting me join the fun.

I usually sell and/or collect Chinese porcelain and similar objects. Usually I'm not good with snuff bottles. so...

If I'm not mistaken, the characters on the back reads,

"By Yue Tongke in Beijing, Dated in the Spring of Bingchen Year, Corresponding to 1976"

trying to find something about the artist but with no good luck. Any help will be of much appreciation.

my insta is by the same name if anyone wants to see some of the pieces I have or used to own, thank you and have a great day!!

Welcome to the forum !

I have never heard of an artist named Yue Tongke. I like the paintings. The style is something can't quite say I that have seen before. The artist is familiar with traditional painting style as can be seen by the way he painted the rocky peaks in the foreground, the hut, and everything is nicely proportioned throughout the entire river mountain landscape side of the bottle.

The junks (boats) and pavilions on the front are also very nicely painted and also well proportioned.

A clue to who the (Beijing?) artist or shop is would be in the seal. I did a little searching but no luck finding it. Perhaps one of our Chinese members can identify that for you.

It is a very nice bottle. It may have been painted "for" Yue Yongke instead of "by".
