We have many members who collect other interesting Chinese antiques aside from snuff bottles.  I think it will be fun and especially educational to be able and share some here.  I have a feeling we may be surprised ( or not ) to see many connections between our snuff bottles and other Chinese antiques.

Sometimes the forum can be a little slow. This will give an opportunity to fill that quiet time a bit with sharing other antiques.

Yes George, I definitely support the idea! As a matter of fact, I found snuff bottles and dedicated myself to them soon after I developed an interest in antiques, so I haven’t got many non-SB items. Nevertheless, I do have a few. When I’ll be less busy, I’ll post them here... Smiley

It’s always nice to share other interests. I’ll take some photos over the weekend and share a few things. I really need to share some bottles as well, it’s been a while.

Hi All,

I think most of us Forum members collect things other than snuff bottles. So, following the initial enthusiasm for it, I was kinda looking forward to seeing some activity on this thread.

I myself collect several other things of an Asian nature, but none are specifically "Chinese antiques". Could that be one of the reasons why nobody has posted anything?

I'm going to start the ball rolling, with a very recent acquisition, which is NOT a snuff bottle, and IS Chinese!

I have some great Chinese objects that aren't SBs, but they are all in Ireland!  Cry
Here in Jerusalem, I have lots of local antiquities [ancient glass, pottery, etc],
Japanese wares, Annamese wares, Islamic antiquities, etc.
But I do have a few nice Chinese objects that might be of interest.
I will get them photographed and send on.
