Beautiful things deserve appreciation

« on: January 09, 2022, 09:04:53 am »

Dear all,

It’s been a while since I last checked in on the forum. Been occupied by too many things, study, work, family…

I hope every one is having a great 2022!

Some of you may note from George’s last post on this section that I was selling a Ye Zhongsan bottle. That was my first YZS bottle and the first quality inside painted bottle I acquired. It was hard to part with it indeed, but the only option I have to cover my tuition and other commitments. As a result, I am also letting go of a few other bottles. It is this Meng Zishou bottle this time. It was shared some years back here: https://snuffbottle.smfforfree.com/index.php/topic,486.80.html

Further information about this bottle:
Dated Yiyou year 1909. The theme is the famous “Three Heroes combating Lu Bu” warrior scene from “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” - one of the Four Chinese Classics.

Height with the stopper is 76 mm. The stopper material appears to be rose quartz.

Provenance: Acquired from Japan in May 2016.

Asking price: US$2,000

Thanks guys.

Best,
Samson
