The CCP [Chinese Communist Party] has a lot to answer for.
It seems like they stole almost 2 years from our lives.

For some strange reason, it reminds me of the  ditty that the paperboys of London
supposedly sang, after Edward VIII abdicated in mid-December 1936:

But Why not Happy Christmas?
Christians should have no shame proclaiming one of their most important Feasts by name.
I, a Traditional Israeli Jew [who should be doing my prayers right now instead of writing this!  Roll Eyes Shocked Wink],
see nothing wrong in wishing my friends who are Christian, A Merry Christmas.

Dear Joey,
it is simply matter of laziness 😊😊
With “Festivities”, both Christmas and New Year are going in a single go.
It is more common here to say “Buone Feste”, meaning the whole period, than “Buon Natale”, which is specific for Christmas only.

      You are one of the last I'd accuse of laziness!

I'm sorry - I thought you were being 'Progressive' and 'Woke'.
As a G-D fearing Jew, I'm not offended by believing Christians referring to their Holy Days
AS Holy Days.
And these days are and should be seen and appreciated as Holy Days.
Days when we thank our Divine Creator for HIS Blessing.
Whether Christian, Jewish, Buddhist or Hindu or whatever.
And we can bless those who don't acknowledge The Deity, too.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Civil Year of 2022.
And in just over a month, Happy Chinese New Year of the Tiger
