We have had 7 meetings on a Friday, but we moved the last one to Saturday.

Saturday was proposed in order to allow more of our European and UK members to join in, as the mid-afternoon timing for them is not convenient on Friday, it being a working day.

For those in SE Asia and in the USA, where it is either late evening or early morning respectively, it probably doesn't make too much difference which day it is. (If that is the case, kindly consider our EU participants when choosing.)

Please cast your vote. Only those who cast a vote will be able to see the results. You are alllowed to change your vote anytime before the poll closes.

Dear Tom,

Thank you for arranging these meetings for the last 8 months and setting up the rules.

As spoken, I am ok with any days , It's just the timing for Singapore which starts at 9pm and ends at 11 plus. I cannot imagine how late it will be after adding the EU members' input.
Tom didn't get to show his bottle last week due to time constraint!

For those who are presenting, can we limit the numbers(any suggestion?) and please don't keep repeating the same bottles.
These meetings are for the long run and it will be more MEMORABLE for us as viewers to the owners' unique aspect of each Snuff Bottle.

Either limit the number of bottles for each member or limit the number of members.

Cheers,
YT

I understand the reasoning behind moving the meeting from Friday to Saturday.
But for me as an observant Jew, Saturday meetings are on Shabbat, and are harder.
I can do it, but don't enjoy it as much.
If it doesn't matter to you whether on Friday or on Saturday,
kindly consider your Jewish participant when choosing...
Best,
Joey

Dear All,

The voting was equally divided between the Fridays and the Saturdays.
So, to be as fair and democratic as possible, I'd like to propose we alternate the day each month.

On that basis the next meeting, at the end of this month, will be on Friday 29th October.
The following month the meeting will be on Saturday 27th November, and so on.

If anyone has any other suggestions, let's hear them.

Thanks,
Tom

Dear Tom,

   A judgement worthy of Solomon.
Of course, he'd have you stoned to death for holding it on the Holy Sabbath every other month,
but c'est la vie  Roll Eyes Shocked Cheesy
See you next week, G-D Willing,
Joey

Dear Joey,

At least the stoning would be every other month.  Shocked

Best,
Tom

Dear Tom,

I fear you misunderstand the concept, "stoning to death"...
One time is all that's needed... or not needed.
It's one of our four mandated death penalties.
They are:
Skeela - Literally, "Stoning". But actually the one being executed is thrown off a tall building or a cliff, and then rocks are thrown on him till he is definitely dead.
Sereifa - Literally, "Burning". But in reality, boiling lead is poured down the person's throat.
Hereg -  Literally, "Being Killed". But actually, by decapitation.
Chenek - Literally, "Choking".  Death by hanging.

 Best,
Joey
