There exist some family medicine flasks of extraordinarily large size which at a later date may have been used as table bottles for snuff. This medicine flask made from bamboo joint has a diameter of 10.6 cm ..

The tallest of these three porcelain bottles is 9 cm.

The tallest of these flasks is 12.5 cm.

Hu Xiaoran once sent me a  pic  of a  king size bottle.

Nice painting work, but  somehow the  large  size  did  not appeal  to me, so I  passed  on it ( never asked the  price)

But the   first  time I visted his  home in 2009  he  gave  ( !!!) me a    beautiful  IP natural  crystal   tea-pot .

The  crystal  had    scarlet   misty cloud - shaped  red    inclusions  which  HXR very    cleverly  included  in his  painting  so that  it's hard to  say where the     inclusions   stop and  the  paiting begins

Cheers  Peter

That is just stunning !!  Your right about not being able to tell where the inclusions stop and the painting begins...

Really super beautiful !!
