Hi George

I love the   rotating  globe  at the  top  left hand side  of the  website !

I can  see  little   green  lights  wherever there  are  members  on line  as well  my  own  little  green  light  where  HK  is as  I look  now  while   typing this   Grin

I must  check to see  if   "my" green   light  moves to  Wenzhou , China  when I am there  ...  i.e.  is  the  smfforfree  website  responding to  the  address  from  which  I  registered   to  join the  Forum, or  is  it   responding to  where  I  actually  am,  just as  google, MSN  etc   automatically  detects  where  I am  and  gives  me  weather and  other  reports  based  on my  current  physical  location

Cheers

Peter

Where is the globe? On the upper left corner of the screen I have the following inscription: "Click On Globe To View Forum Visitors From Around The World". But there are no globes nor places on which to click on.

Dear George,
thank you very much. I found it now. It was blocked by uBlock, a tool that I use for blocking ads.
I have disabled it on this site now, and I can see the globe. I see that there is even somebody from Israel. Who could be that guy? Grin
Kind regards
Giovanni

Hi Giovanni

Now  you  see  the  globe !  Great  fun !

I also  wonder who  that little  green  light is  in Israel ...  especially  as it  sometimes  moves to  Ireland !

What do those  two   unrelated  countries  have  in  common  regarding  SBs   Huh?

 Grin

Cheers

Peter

Dear Peter,
that is a good suggestion. Watching that green light, and seeing if it will move or not, it will be a sure answer to your question.
Kind regards

Hi all,

I was also thinking what a nice touch the globe was, I don't think I have seen  one on another site. I was looking at it and thought it would be nice to be able to click on it and stop it where you wanted to see better. So I moved curser on to it, you know just practicing! Low and behold it stopped! I felt slightly dim to say the least.  Embarrassed Roll Eyes Grin Cool

Regards Jason.

PS

Good grief, I've just clicked on it and found the cluster map. LOL. From that a guess you can tell I'm one of those people that don't  read the instructions!!!!!! I put things together  and end up with half a dozen spare parts.  Its much more fun trying to find out were thy go afterwards.  Grin I think I'll go back to bed this modern technology is just to much for me. Huh

Giovanni,
The globe uses the SVG graphics format. You'll want to make sure that you browser can display that format properly.

Thank you dear Brian.
If you had read further, you had found that I solved the problem. It was an AD block.
I have just read your very interesting post about how safely store our data.
In principle I was not so keen about cloud storages, but I will change my attitude after reading your post.
Thank you for it.
Kind regards

Dear Giovanni,

When I visit, please 'dumb down' what Brian wrote for me, so I can make use of it as well.
Thank you,
Shabbat Shalom, from Limassol Cyprus (Lemasos, in Greek).

Dear Joey,
what are you referring to?
I see nothing from Brian that is addressed to you in this thread.
Kind regards
Giovanni
