Mongolian Faceted Metal Bottle Coral & Turquoise

 This is the 2nd of two Mongolian bottles which I recently purchased at an auction sale in the US. The other has the famille verte stone pattern, instead of the turquoise and coral employed here.  Faceting when done well requires quite a bit of geometry in making the multi sided panels fit well. Kangxi was a student in what had been at the time a Western discipline. Many of the 1st Chinese bottles were western in appearance and Eastern in the details
 
 This example was impeccably made in both symmetry and construction, and is admittedly thus far the only faceted metal example I have found in my searches, so I have chosen to open another topic and see what may be gleaned from further research in this area of applied geometry
 
Silver and coral, full masks, long oval rings,  total of 12 facets between the main and side panels, incised metal settings, ruyi cloud decorations neck and foot
