George,

Both, these are porcelain with red enameled over the glaze.  I have been seeing these bottles around for a few years now.  They are decent contemporary bottles in my opinion, but just can’t bring myself to purchase one in favor of older bottles.

Thanks Charll...

I am reluctant to purchase one for the same reason you mention.. Prefering older bottles .  Smiley

Have not really had any luck with finding a nice "older" porcelain bottle that can afford..  My champagne taste with a beer budget continues to draw me towards bottles in the 200.00 +  range..

So a bottle like this, although not a first choice by far, would at least get one fairly nice dragon on my shelf !  I think the detail is not so bad, and also like the cylindar shape.

George,

If your patient one will come along!   Less than $200 for an old bottle probably not, but over the past few years I have found old porcelain bottles with good dragon designs in the $200-$350 range.  Ones I'm buying from Dealers, with good provenance, though have been costing $800-$1200.

I did go ahead and purchase it though.. Maybe will make a nice gift for someone..

Trying to get any one of my children, or grandchildren to show some interest in these..  So far, the only one who is showing interest is one of my Grandaughters..
