Good eyes George!

Sometimes, you really can find a gem out of those bottles. I bought a early fu guoshun bottle from the seller.

The bottle was painted in 2000 by Sun zhende, I assume it was a student bottle at that time.

This  is  pure  copy  painting  -  miles   away from   any  abstract   style

For   abstract  Liu Yizi  see   CIPMA

I  attach  the  pics

Cheers
Peter

Yes, I was a little reluctant to label the painting as abstract, but we now know this bottle is not connected to Liu Yizi school..

Thank you for sharing Peter.

Liu Yizi is one of my most favorite modern artists, His painting is really creative, or I will say he has his spirit in his painting, Yuan shijia's painting style changed a lot when he started to study with Liu Yizi. I Bet that Liu is a good teacher too..

I wish I can have a chance to own a masterpiece of Li Yizi one day.

Dear Steven,
I have a sneaking (snaking?  Wink) suspicion your wish will come true in the New Year. I would hazard a guess even within the first lunar month after Chinese New Year.   Grin
Best,
  Joey

Hi  Steven

Abstract  IPB  artistry   has  progressed   zillions  since  Liu  Yizi

SERIOUSLY !

Maybe  Liu  Yizi  was  the   first to  break the  mold  and   start   creating  truly  original   IPBs  ( I have  yet to  confirm  that,  and  if  true   his  early  works  have  great  historical    significance , but  I   think that   Wang Guanyu   got there   first)

Abstract -  true   creational  IPB    artistry  is the   thing  of the  future,  and  in  which  I  heavily  invested  my   collection

Just  look at the  little  logo  attached  to  my   Forum   postings.  That  -  I believe  -  is  the  epitome  of   abstract    IPB  art

Cheers

Dear Peter,
You have a snuff bottle as your logo. I can barely make it out as IPSB. Is there a way to enlarge it?
Oh, by the way, when I tried to enlarge the Liu Yizi bottles you posted, the enlargements are so big it is impossible to appreciate the painting. Is there a way to do it so the enlargement just fills the screen?
Thank you in advance,
   Joey

Hi  Joey

I can   email  you  the  pic  of  my  logo  bottle, but I prefer   you   actually see  the  bottle  when  you  come to  HK  in  Fall   2014

Please  believe  me  I  would    never  trade  that  single  bottle,   not  even    for  every  bottle   in the whole    world  combined.

Truly  "The  Pearl  of   Great  Price" (Jesus)

But   the  pics  I  attached   for  Liu  Yizi  were   standard    Forum pics.  If  you  cannot  "read"  them   you need a  software   consultant

Cheers

Hi Peter

I think Joey mean that he cannot view the picture properly without scrolling left and right.

Depending on the screen resolution of your monitor, it may be advisable to resize your image to a more universal size.

Most screen can now display as least 1240 by 768 pixels, some other older models 800 by 600.

Therefore, I usually resize my image to 540 pixels horizontally so that even the older monitor can view the image without scrolling. You can leave the vertical size as default as most software will resize it proportionally to the width.

And you don't need a software consultant to fix this!  Cheesy

Just my observation.

Regards.

I resized a couple of them and edited Peter's post..

They were way to large, and difficult to view..

Dear Richard and George,
Thank you for your help in accessing the pictures and in translating Joey-ese to Peter-ese.  Grin

Dear Peter,
I look forward to seeing the bottle, and the rest of your collection 'live' in Oct.2014. and finally meeting you, and your family.

  Best to everyone for 2014!
