One thing I remember back from when previously collecting is to watch for how well the fingers are painted. Well painted fingers show a little more about the quality and skill of the artist.

Although the fingers in these paintings are poor, I like the painting overall.

This was not an expensive bottle by any means, but well worth the 30.00 paid. Just nice painting, and shows at least a little age. Maybe late 19th or early 20th century ?  Just a guess..

I know nothing of the artist. Maybe I will be able to find out ..

3 1/2 " tall..

I would not be disappointed George. It is a nice bottle even though it is newer than described.

It really is a nice bottle..

Received Bill's (snuffbottlecollecter) "The Making of a Masterpiece" CD showing the creation of a bottle and painting.

I always knew and appreciated that there is a great deal of time involved in making one of these bottles.

After watching the CD, it really makes you appreciate even the simpler of bottle paintings like this one. Not to mention the amount of work involved in the shaping of a bottle.

Pleased to add it to my beginner collection !  Smiley
