This is quite likely original to this Early Shantung overlay/cameo bottle.. It matches the full length of this 3 1/2" tall bottle perfectly..

Solid silver and just a beautiful old spoon.. Nicest one in my collection !

It has what I can only guess is a jewelers maker mark under the stopper..

Very nice and rare to find in this condition.  Even better justification for what you paid for the bottle, George.  Still a bargain .. (I think).

This is the longest scoop I have ever seen on a spoon!
I have only come across one similar to this once before - on an old chalcedony bottle of mine.

Dear George,

That is a wonderful silver scoop spoon. What is the cabochon like?
Best,
Joey

The cabochon is made from glass to resemble sapphire.

Dear Pat,

Thanks. I had a few of those, long ago. And silver scoop type spoons.
They are nice. they usually have a stamped silver mark (the Qing equivalent of the British sterling hallmark).
Best,
Joey
