When I saw this bottle, the eBay pics did not include a top view of the opening.. I hoped because of the shape of the neck and opening that it was going to end up looking like this when it arrived.  Maybe I am mistaken, but when I see an opening shaped like this and carved out nice and wide, it suggests some age to me..

I am thinking to keep my eye out for a pretty rough and tumbled plain old cork. Much like the the cork in the recent bottle that Walter pegged as Wen Qing.

Ha, maybe fashion one up from a champagne cork.  A bottle of nice Moet for Christmas perhaps?   Wink

Thinking will buy these three civil war period medicine bottles that include some nice aged corks..

Based on the 2" height of the bottles, looks like one of them should fit real nicely !
