There are a couple of Middle Period bottles coming up for auction over the next week that I would like to bid on.

So going to part with this one ( for more pics ) to raise a little money towards winning one of them.

Thought I would offer it up here before placing on eBay..

Offering it to members here for the same 100.00 price I paid.. Plus a few for postage.

Well, does not seem to be much interest on eBay even for an opening bid of 50.00..

Guess I paid to much !  Smiley

Well, maybe.. I don't necessarily think so but the that is not really the problem.  The real issue is that it gets compared to all the junk out there, and most people don't have a clue of what to look for/not look for.  In my view there are not so many knowledgeable collectors yet on ebay.  Especially for the inside painted bottles.  And maybe that is a good thing if you are a buyer, so I am certainly not complaining.  The other problem is the high starting prices of ANY real old bottle (usually), AND the fast rising prices of the newer inside painted bottles.  As you can see it becomes very hard to find any decent modern IPB for less than $50, and many are now in the $100-$200 range.   So now your bottle automatically gets compared to all that stuff too.

BUT on the other hand, it seems that prices are slowly but surely starting to reflect reality and market value, generally speaking.  So that is good for us all.
