There is a bottle coming into my collection that is ALSO a warrior scene.  It is by Tang Zichuan, one of the early masters in Beijing.  It is also a warrior scene, and this is a subject rarely found in his repertoire and signed by him (in fact, never seen or heard of another one).  So maybe this another explanation for the unsigned warrior bottles.  Will post pics later.

Another spelling, or pronunciation??...,  is Tang Tzu-ch'uan..

A couple of examples with this spelling are on Bill's site.

Bob Stevens mentions him, along with Sun Hsing-wu, Ma Shao-hsuan, Chang Pao-t'ien, and Yeh Chung-san as known imitators to the works of Chou Lo-yuan. In some cases they affixed his name as well as their own names or seals to their works.

Are those calendar charactors next to the signature on this one Pat ?

Super nice addition to your collection !!

No, the bottle is not dated, near I can tell.  I can't make up the characters.  The bottle is on its way.  It was sold to a private Hong Kong collector in a 2006 auction in the USA, coming out of a private estate.
