Decorative Arts & Antique Auction Oct 30th

Nice selection of bottles.. Starting bids are nice and low.. Might be a good online auction to be at.

See a few that I like better than others..

I am not likely to be adding any more Warrior bottles any time soon. Having a few, and just bought three more that should be here within a couple weeks.

There is one in this lot.

Another favorite is this Jade bottle.

How many warrior bottles do you have now?  All Yong Shou Tian?  How many are signed?  I am really curious why there so many unsigned ones with this subject....

Should not have said I already have a few.. Only two..

The two I have..

One is signed.

The second one is not..

The three that will be on there way to me in a couple days from a collector in China are all un-signed.  Two of those are the larger bottles he is known to have liked to paint. The third is a 3" bottle.

You are reading my mind Pat.  Smiley

I also wonder why so many of these warrior themes are not signed.

Bill has a comment on his site..

"Even though these bottles are painted in traditional Yong Shou T'ien style and in larger, more rounded bottles not often used by other painters, it is only fair to say that they may not all have been painted by Yong."

So by who then Huh

I probably paid a bit to much ( 200.00) for the three un-signed bottles just purchased. Was really more interested in the one 3" tall bottle rather than the two larger ones...

Heck, here is a signed one for 80.00...

These seem to pop up quite a bit.

Thought I recognized that bottle I showed for 80.00..

A bit confused why that site has it up for sale, as it sold on eBay a while back for £ 80.00  .. That works out to about 130.00 US.

George

Thanks... either way an older bottle like this is a steal for the prices you mentioned.  If you don't want to keep them or any one of them, PLEASE let me know, and I will be glad to take them off your hands.  I am really just curious how many of these are around.  He was quite prolific or he was copied a lot...
