I stumbled upon this artist while browsing some of the ICSBS dealers.

Can not find anything online..

Seller listing says 20th century..

And the writing on the bottle does not match the description provided.

1. The paintings are not philosophers, they are the 8 immortals, specifically: Iron Cruch Li and Zhongli Quan.  See this links:

In the picture see the old man holding up the fan and the one with dark skin sitting in the front.  That's them.

2. The artist of the bottle is not Liu Zi-Yi.  The signature says: Wang Chunguang.

Personally I think this bottle is beautiful.  The paintings show a lot of character and the calligraphy has good flow.

Liu  Yizi  =  Liu  Enchang  =  Liu Moren    is  a     Modern   IP  painter  ( CIPMA 136/137).

He is   still actively painting : Jill  had  some  bottles  for sale  by him in  2009

He's the  son  of  Liu Zi Yi

Walter is right, the signature of the artist in the bottle is indeed Wang Chunguang and the motif is on the eight immortals.

The seller of the bottle had sold it some time ago.. She was very pleasant, and pleased to learn what Walter shared here. She is forwarding this correct information on to the buyer..
