I will be hosting a dinner primarily for Forum members, during the upcoming ICSBS Baltimore convention, 23-27.Oct., on one of three dates:
Tues., 23rd; Thurs., 25th; Sat. night, 27th. Mon., 22nd is also a possibility.
I know that Rube and his brother are attending, and hope that Jo & David and Charll & Donna are, as well.
Is anyone else available to join us?

    I'm thrilled to hear that you and Donna are coming to Baltimore!
And I'm pretty sure Jo & David are, as well.

So good to hear so many are planning to attend.  We would love to have dinner with the group.  Any of the dates work for us at this point.  Let me know which date suits everyone so we can put on our calendar before other commitments.  I hope we will have a good group for the convention and believe it will be one of the best! 

Our Mid-Atlantic Collectors Group will have approximately 150 bottles on display at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore from September 30th to December 9th.  The museum admission is free to the public and a contribution is appreciated. It is a great museum and I would encourage anyone who is interested in snuff bottles to check out this exhibition if you are in the area during that time.

Dear Mary Jo,

    We've decided on Tues.,23.Oct., for the Forum dinner, since Rube and his brother leave on Thurs.
I will be exhibiting my Wang Xisan bottles, as well. But I believe only for the length of the convention.

So nice to hear from you Rube, David and I are looking forward to meeting you.  Thanks for your kind thoughts regarding the storm.  We are very concerned about this storm and it is touching that you thought of us at this time.  We are as prepared as we can be and are praying for safety and well as no damage to property.  We have a cottage in Beaufort NC and this is our chief concern now.  It is a historic property and we pray it makes it well through the storm. 

Look forward to seeing you in Baltimore.

Thanks so much Joey.  We so appreciate your prayers.  I am so overwhelmed by the snuff bottle community and the concern so many have shown us.  We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore in October.  I will let you know how things are going in NC.  We loved having you visit here in NC a few year ago. Thanks for offering a dinner to the forum members; It will be wonderful to share a dinner with you and the other forum members and visit the ICSBS Baltimore Convention. Unfortunately I have no more holidays during this year because I need to save days for sharing with my faraway family during the winter holidays.

We look forward to it too, very much!  We did have some damage at our cottage in Beaufort.  It is too dangerous now to travel down to see the extent of the damage as roads are flooded between us and Beaufort.  They are projecting to get the power restored in 60 hours to 2 weeks! Ouch!  I will let all of you know more a bit later and do appreciate your prayers and concern.  Best.   Jo and David

     Last year, a week-10 days before the London Convention, I had the same problem in County Wexford. Bev Simpson had been scheduled to come visit for a few days, and then fly with me to London. In the end, there was little damage, but no power for 5 days, and we had to cancel the trip to Ireland.

We look forward to seeing our snuff bottle friends as well as making new friends in Baltimore.  I wish everyone could come!  It is always a fun and educational event. This is going to be a very special convention as it will celebrate the 50th year of the ICSBS.  I am counting down the days!

Thank you friends for the concern you have shown for our safety as well as property in NC.  We only had minor damage to our cottage in Beaufort and are very relieved.  Many people in NC are still hurting badly and we appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers.

     I've not heard from Charll lately, but assume that he and Donna are attending.
