Hello all!

This is my second inside painted bottle that I am having a hard time identifying not only the age but the artist (if it's even shown). If anyone can give me some information on this piece I would be grateful! The scenes in this bottle have a lot stronger thicker lines than the other IP I uploaded earlier but I like it for different reasons. This bottle is also significantly larger - in fact one of the tallest ones I have in my whole collection, which is sometimes a bad thing because it likes falling over which scares me every time  Lips sealed. Enjoy!

Height (w/o stopper) - 7.9cm
Width - 4.4cm
Depth - 2.2cm

~Daniel

Daniel,
I like landscapes too! And like you, I struggle reading the characters. I’m trying to identify years, but they’re not always present.  Sorry I can’t help. But, if your bottles fall over, and you like to have them on display, I’d recommend putting museum wax on the base, as it’s got good grab.

Sorry that you were so ill, welcome back!

Rube.

Rube,

Thank you! Yes, I probably should invest in some museum wax, I always forget how fragile they are. I just like leaving some on my desk to admire them as I work. I really should construct a nice snuff bottle case, I think I have amassed enough by now!

Daniel,

You can always lay the bottle in a padded box so it can't fall over.
Or just get a box, line it with cotton balls, and cover the cotton with a handkerchief.
And lay the bottle down on that.
Best,
Joey

Joey,

That's a really good idea. I guess I'm on the search for a few of these (pictured below). I'm sure at one point they were found everywhere and easily had Sad.

Hi Daniel,

I think most of us on here would be keen to snap up boxes like those, they're a lot nicer than the more normal brocade ones that you can find quite easily.

Regards, Adrian.

Dear Daniel,

The boxes appeal. The two bottles shown, less.
Best,
Joey
