This one is also from Singapore Chinatown, bought in the late 1990's. The motif is moulded and painted. I very much like thr two dragons and the flaming pearl. The stopper of course doesn't belong. I wonder what the chinese signs say.
Best regards
Arne

Dear Arne,
this is another modern bottle.
Each person has his own way of collecting, so for sure somebody will tell you that it is a nice bottle.
I won’t. because in my view snuff bottles was made for use, regardless the quality. Modern bottles are made with the purpose of imitating real bottles, so for my taste they are useless and not worth to collect, at any price. Personal attitude.
BTW, although not necessary in this case, when showing a bottle with a dragon always post a picture of the face of the dragon, which is important for dating purposes.
I have no idea about the meaning of the two characters.
Kind regards
Giovanni

You see the confirmation of what I said dear Arne, it depends from taste.
I find modern bottles horrible, while Albert do like them very much.
We say that "Il gusto non si discute" (Taste is not to be questioned).
Kind regards
