Dear Giovanni,

While I agree there are similarities between the two I agree with Jason in that I can see a higher quality in the work on the V and A bottle which is dated up to the early 20th Century and not displayed.

The scales are more rounded as are the fish bodies generally, the fins are thinner, the eyes have more detail and the waves have more of a three dimensional sense to them. Both examples seem quite simplistic to me but they may have been intentionally done that way.
