Dear all,

I have been in Perth for about 2 weeks. Yesterday, managed to catch up with Ulrich Kunzmann, the only Aussie collector I know to date. This was our second meeting ( the last one was in April 2017 ). It was nice to have coffee together in the Hilton Hotel. We handled the bottles we each brought along.
Attached were some pictures for your viewing. Porcelain bottles ( 6 altogether ) are mine , and the rest Ulrich's.
The double rainbow is my greetings to you all. I captured the picture from the back yard of my son's house  Cheesy Cheesy

Inn Bok,
It's nice that you have the opportunity to meet with other collectors. Very interesting bottles that you share. I especially like the second from the end.  Is it some kind of antler?

Cheers,
Rube

Yes, Rube, it is antler bottle. About 20mm thick. The other face is left plain but the patina is excellent.
If you enlarge the picture, you will see four Chinese words " 吉祥如意 " carved within the banner above the " 福 “。

Inn Bok,
Nice, that's from a rather large animal! What is the translation of the characters?
Cheers,

Dear Rube,

The 4-character chinese expression carries the idea of wishing one peace and good fortune, and success in evey endavours.

Dear Inn Bok,

I'm glad you got to share bottles with our fellow collector in Perth.
The bottles posted are very interesting.

Unfortunately, the meeting with master Li KeChang could not be arranged. Li has been living in Perth for the past 15-20 years at least. Ulrich is trying to contact Li's managing agent, David, to arrange for a meeting.

Dear Inn Bok,

I was contacted around 1999 or 2000 by Li Kechang and I bought a number of beautiful bottles from him. They came from Australia.
If you are still in West Australia, feel free to use me as a reference.
Best,
Shabbat Shalom,
Joey

Dear Inn Bok,

       My pleasure.
I'd not even thought of going to West Australia. I always think of Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmania, when I think of Oz. And, while I am 100% in favour of Oz protecting its produce etc., the program "Nothing to Declare" scares me.
I'd love to go to Brunei to see their fabulous new mosque, which has a Lapis Lazuli inlaid ceiling. It's good to be the Sultan of Brunei.
Best,
Joey
