Dear Sampson,

Congrats! Very nice bottle. I saw it personally in SF.

MC

Dear MC,

You did? I wish I could visit the preview too to see all the nice bottles! But I could only rely on photos and condition reports being far away in Hong Kong... Roll Eyes

By the way MC, I noticed that this is your first post on the forum. So welcome aboard! Enjoy your time here! So what is your actual name and where are you from?

Thanks!

Best,
Samson

Dear Samson,

Nope. The patina is almost as hard as the stone.
I would soak it in warm water - don't use harsh solvents to remove a bit of glue (or anything else from a snuff bottle!).
Best,
Joey

Dear Joey,

I too was delighted to see the beauty of the bottle's indented footrim for the first time after I'd removed the glue from it!

You're right, "quirky" is a more suitable word to use in this case! Smiley

By the way, would I risk removing the patina by rubbing the glue off the jade surface?

Best,
Samson
