Hi Al

I  recall  once   either  seeing  a   book  or an  auction  catalog  about the  "Bentley" collection (no  NOT  my collection !)

Can anyone  refer  me to  the  book / catalog  - if possible  with a  pic  of the   front cover, please?

Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,

If it's not yours (and nothing to do with automobiles), then I have never come across it.
Sorry I can't help.

Well spotted Samson!

This looks like one of the Asian Art Studio's series of catalogues published in connection with the disposal of a collection.

The Bentley Collection was sold by Clare & Michael Chu in 2008, via the catalogue and the ICSBS 2008 Boston convention, primarily.

The owners, from the UK, bought their first snuff bottles in 1973 in Hong Kong. They also became friendly through work, with one of the top HK collectors, and lived in Hong Kong from 1983-1988. They returned to the UK in 1988, and continued collecting till 2008, when they decided to sell their collection of about 150 bottles (145 are illustrated).

Best,
Joey
