Dear Members,

This bottle sold at auction in California a couple of weeks ago I think (not to me though I was watching). Do you think this is an authentic Zhou Leyuan bottle? Is this a fake or painted by another artist?

I saw that one to Brian..  My vote is that it is not painted by ZLY...

Thanks George. I agree. The signature and calligraphy looks a little weak compared to most ZLY bottles. I think it is probably still a Middle Period piece in the style of ZLY, perhaps by one of his students. It has some of the shading and brush strokes commonly used by ZLY I think.
