Beautiful things deserve appreciation

Dear all,

I'd like to share with you this Chinese orchestral music featured in Eva Air's commercial (from some of the most famous Taiwanese folk songs). It's said to be the music they play on board before take off and after landing. Simply beautiful, pure joy to my ears.........

Best,
Samson

Samson

You bring back distant memories here for me!  I used to always fly EVA Air from 2000 to 2007 from Amsterdam to Bangkok and return, twice a month on average (yes, crazy) and onward to China on Thai.  Always liked this song, but can't say it fits snuff bottles (just my view).  Snuff bottles need more typical Chinese instruments in my opinion.

Dear Samson,

I fly with EVA Air regularly since 2013, but haven't heard (or noticed) this music before. Look forward to finding it on my next flight in a couple of months!

Where does Eva Air fly to/from? Is it Taiwanese? Do they have First?
Best,
Joey

Dear all,

I'm glad that you've enjoyed the music!

Dear Joey,

Yes, it's Taiwanese. I've never flown it before but seems to be nice. I've done a little research. Their top class has a pretty distinguished name - the Royal Laurel Class. Not sure of the standard but you may find some info here:

http://www.evaair.com/en-us/flying-with-eva/our-cabin-classes/royal-laurel-class/onboard/

Here's their route map:

http://www.evaair.com/en-us/booking-and-travel-planning/flight-information/route-maps/

As a matter of fact, it's one of the safest airlines in the world (no major accident since its launch in 1989).

Best,
Samson

Dear Samson,

I'm going to look into it and see how it goes in Royal Laurel Class. The cabin reminds me of BA First, and Air Canada BusinessFirst, etc.

It's only 28 years old, though, so it's not surprising they have a clean slate, safety wise.
Thank you,
Best,
Joey
