Dear Geoff,

Beautiful bottle. Thank you for posting. I need to check out this site.
I checked the link Charll supplied, and saw you'd copied the original mistake ['hsingshu' should be written 'xingshu' in Hanyu Pinyin; otherwise, Xiaosan should have been written 'Hsiaosan'... Grin Roll Eyes].
Best,
Joey

Pine, bamboo and plum blossom
Clerical (lishu), standard (kaishu) and semi-cursive (hsingshu) calligraphy

3+3 = 6 (so my boy tells me) and this bottle has six sides.
But I'm not sure if I've got them the right way around.

Hexagonal bottles are very difficult to photograph. But I think the bottle is signed Xiaosan, obviously a pen name, and dated 1970 but I doubt that, it looks much more modern.

Any other details on the Chinese, I would be pleased to hear.

Geoff
