Hi, I know that this one is not of good quality, but I just want to check if I am right with what I think it is. My guess would be that it was made aroung 1950-75? Are the women specific characters or just anonymous "beauties? Could it be a Shandong bottle? The stopper is of course totally unrelated...
Thank you for any help!
Matthias

Mathias

My friend Peter here would describe this as a tourist/export bottle, which it is.  They were produced by the tens of thousands in 60s/70s.  50s would be too early for this.  And yes, the shape suggests Shandong origin.   The stopper seems to be older than the bottle, perhaps, the inserted stones seem real, instead of glass or plastic, as is the case during this period.

Dear Matthias,

But that stopper is a great Mongolian/Tibetan type example! Wonderful.
Best,
Joey

Dear Mat,

Sometimes, the 'accessory' is harder to find than the object itself. Don't worry, you will find the bottle it is meant for.
Best,
Joey
