Hi all,

I think that is coral, moreover I think that it is from genre Corales Corallium, and maybe dyed bamboo coral. One important difference between this bamboo coral and the ďauthentic red coralĒ (have several sites where different species of red coral grow up, like Japan or Italy, even Catalonia) is the separation between their lines. The lines of this item have a huge separation.

Itís important to say that I never have coral, I only see it in the shops, and itís meaning that my information is not contrasted.

Nice research Albert!
Your bottle looks like the bamboo coral in your last picture, on the right.

Dear Luke,

Please see my correction. I was wrong.
Not a bottle I would want, but it is Coral.
Best,
Joey

Dear Joey,

Yep I always thought these were some kind of low grade variety coral. Often these bottles are an all over deep red colour unlike this one. Thanks for clarifying that it is definitely not coral. Must say I've always found these types particularly unattractive compared to the real deal of course.

Best
Luke
