Dear Matthias,

Please post a view 'face on', of the mouth, and another, also face on, of the base, and please post the height in mm or cm (or in.), and the diameter of the mouth opening.

It could be a small vase, or a snuff bottle (for personal use), or a snuff jarlet (to hold larger amounts of snuff, and fill a bottle from), or a medicine bottle/jarlet of a different sort (snuff was considered a medicine by the Qing, so all 'snuff bottles' are by definition
'medicine bottles' for dry powdered medicine [snuff]; there are also such bottles etc., for pills and for tablets etc.).

There are 'condition issues' as they would say on the Antiques Roadshow...
Best,
Joey
