Hi Pin,

Yes it is amber - and it's just lovely. The carving is very well done and it has some translucency. If the bottle was worthless, then the amber could definitely be sold as a pendant. The lapis insert is also very fine quality stone and workmanship on the carving. I wish I had macro on my camera so I could get better pictures!

I was not as impressed with the inserts on Virginia's piece - at least from the pictures.

Thanks Joey for remembering the price. Virginia would not be happy that over 30 years later it still didn't fetch the price she paid. Wink
