Hi All

The Singapore Snuff Bottle Group is an informal group for the local collectors to meet, interact and share knowledge and experience related to snuff bottles.

We have eight members and we are meeting on a regular basis, once a month.

This is the most recent gathering yesterday afternoon with 7 members present. One member, Ooi Inn Bok was out of town.

From left to right in the photo: Johnson Tan, Dominic Yeo, Dr Lam Wing Oon, Lee Yee Pin, Foo Jong Kan, me and Daniel Foo.

We have an enjoyable session talking and looking at each other's bottles. Members present have expressed their eagerness and looking forward to the next gathering.

Regards.

Richard

Thanks for sharing Richard! Great to know that as we were gathering here in HK, coincidentally another group of snuff bottle enthusiasts were also meeting up on the other end of the South China Sea! Hope to join one of your gatherings as a guest someday! Wink

Best,
Samson

Dear Richard,

I agree with Samson, but were you actually looking at bottles, or at photos of bottles?
Last time I visited, I just saw photos, NOT actual bottles, with the Nanyang Group. And it was frustrating.
Of course, I enjoyed seeing real bottles in your beautiful home, in Inn Bok's, in Dr. Wong's, and Yee Pin brought his bottles for me to see. And of course I was privileged to view YT's collection etc.
I look forward to seeing you in early December.
Best,
Joey

Dear Richard,

Thank you for sharing the photo!  Singapore has the most snuff bottle collectors compared to the populations there, its great to hang out with the collector friends and share with each other.

Awesome Photo.  Thanks for sharing.  Another to add to my Snuff Bottle Bulletin Board!!  I am envious of you living in an area where collectors want to meet and share each month.  You are all very fortunate. Jo

Hi guys

Thank you for all your feedback!

Yes, Joey, we look at 'real' bottles, not photos.

Regards.

Thanks to Inn Bok for posting more pictures.

However, just to clarify, the jade bottle belongs to JK Foo, not Dr Chee.

The 2 lacquer bottles are hers.

Regards.

Richard,

Where did you find that light scope you're using in the last picture? I would love to have one.

Hi Richard,

One question....

Is it the bottles you are all examining so intently, or the cakes?   Cheesy
