I was offered this and told by the seller that it was described to him when he purchased it as a table snuff bottle.

I guess that is a good description for large bottles. Makes sense larger bottles would have been used in that way.

I have not seen a snuff bottle like this one before though. It is large at 4 1/2" tall, but the bottom of it is marked and shaped like nothing I have ever seen.

Anyone want to take a guess as to if it could actually be a snuff container of some kind ?

I never did purchase this bottle.. I see it is up for auction..
