This bottle came with a group of others..  I just can not seem to figure it out.  The famille rose color palette looks similar to other famille rose example, but the facial features, adornments, etc., are not making sense when I reference Tommy Eklof's "Dating Chinese Porcelain from Facial Features and Adornments" . The combination of brown/orange combined with black for the facial features does not seem correct.  I have also seen similar shaped bottles in famille rose.

I set it aside believing it likely a modern copy, until I pulled the cork and wood spoon out of it today, and the spoon, although nothing special appears a bit old.

2 5/8" tall, glazed recessed base, and unglazed foot rim.

Any help greatly appreciated..

Dear George,
you do not see references for this bottle in the book because it is out from any typical period style, in other words it is a modern bottle. It has not been painted from a hand of let say Tongzhi period, nor Guangxu, nor Republic either. It has been painted by a not educated hand. I have no doubt about this, sorry.
Kind regards
Giovanni

Yes, I thought it likely modern. That is why I put it aside for so long.   So not surprised it is modern, just real nice to have it confirmed..

Thanks guys !
