As you can see the pink glass was applied on top of a clear bottle and then carved to the lotus shape.  Then it was given another thick layer of clear glass by dipping. Then it was carved again to define the neck, details on the body, and adding the foot in the shape of a stem. Finally it was wonderfully polished.   This is a classic example of cased or sandwiched glass.

Glass makers would create glass bottles like this to imitate different minerals. That is the case here, but not sure what type of mineral was intended to imitate.

Dear Samson,

It would be better if you can add descriptions to your bottle and show the opening and base photos. I believe this way you can learn faster.

I am with George on this bottle being a Glass Imitation.

Cheers,
YT

Dear Samson,

No need to apologize. I mean from what you have seen and touch, would you have any description that you feel can be written. You can read through the many glass related threads for idea. Just my humble suggestion.

As for the base photo, I have a similar type of bottle, just want to ask for comparison.

Cheers,
YT

Dear YT,

It feels smooth and rather shiny. I was told it's of late Qing. How's yours like?

Best,
Samson

Dear Samson,

Glass imitation of compressed globular form, looks to be imitating Limestone. Well hollowed and glossy. If you look at the opening, you will see the inner glass is plain looking Black. Dating at 19th Century.

For a similar coloured example,

Cheers,
YT

Dear YT,

The same can be observed in the pink glass bottle above, the inner glass is plain white.

Best,
Samson

Dear YT,
thank you for showing that pebble shaped bottle in the Burghley collection, very similar to my one:
