For a long time I avoided Macs/Iphones but recently have been converting into the Apple world.  I had enough of all the problems/issues/viruses/etc. etc...

I agree and did consider Apple.. Never had any issues at all with the Performa line years ago.  I do like them, but the cost difference is considerable..

Dear George,

I have been a fanatical 'Apple/MacIntosh' loyalist since my first computer, an Apple 2E Plus in Sept. 1985! It was 128K, with 55k desktop, and a floppy disk drive. I had to print on paper that had rows of holes down each side.
I LOVE this brand. And they are almost NEVER targeted by hackers.

    Best,
Joey

Dear George,

That APPLE 2E Plus 128K computer with an HP printer set me back US$5,000 in Sept. 1985, too! But it was worth it! I did my whole almost 3 year long Israel Licenced Tour Guide Course on it. And I could print up copies of Trip Reports to hand in, and run up copies to help friends.
It was 'state of the art', though I bet most really serious computer people here on the Forum will be in shock that I EVER had 'state of the art' computer stuff!!!  Grin Roll Eyes Wink

Best to all,
Joey
