Still a bit quiet, so will share a bottle... To be honest, not entirely sure what I have...

Five clawed Cobalt blue dragon, with an almost pink rather than red glaze within the flames and waves. Quite a bit of pitting or bubbles through out the cobalt blue only. The glaze seems thick with no wear. Also a few dark kiln pitting spots.

Pretty large bottle at 3 3/4" , Ch'ien Lung mark ..

The head reminds me of Gaungxu style dragons.

Maybe Early 20th ?

Hi George,

Thank you for sharing.

I have seen this kind of bottle once a while, always curious what its.Smiley After seeing your photos with details. I personally think its a late 20th bottle, the dragon was not even painted but printed on as a sticker.

attached you can find the clue of it being printed.

Steven

Good eye as usual Steven !  The idea of this being applied crossed my mind, but now can understand after your macro pic.. I thought themes were applied as a whole over a porcelain piece, not individual little parts of the theme separately..  So since I did not see a seam any place, crossed the idea of applied sticker/print off the list..

Thank you Steven !
