Dear All,

Could you please share your thoughts on this glass snuff bottle? I saw a similar bottle described as "Imperial, Palace workshop" in The Art of the Chinese Snuff Bottle, 349, page 584.

It measures 5 cm.

Thanks a lot,

Marcos

I remember you asking about this one before.. Funny to notice the same wide mouth as Steven pointed out on your Shandong bottle.

My vote is not from Palace shops..  I wonder if this may be a medicine bottle candidate..

Dear George,

That type of wide mouth is well documented among 18th C. glass snuff bottles from the Palace Workshops.
But I can't figure out if it is white or a pale robin's egg blue.
Shabbat Shalom,
Joey

Hi Joey,

I would say its colour is milk white.

Thanks a lot.

Dear Marcos,

I'm sorry, but I can't tell from the photos. It could be 18th C. and it could be 1950s.
Best,
Joey
