Grin I know this is not a particularly well made bottle, probably made last week or at least much younger than my son, the bottle does not have a well defined foot, the rim is thick, etc.,  but I think the "picture" itself is lovely. I am not sure if this is African Queen picture jasper or something more local, though I suspect African Queen. Anyway, I like it enough that I won't be drilling any holes in it or stringing it with beads. I know that it is sad next to the magnificent, often priceless snuffs posted in this forum, but I thought people might like to see the cheap stuff too once in a while just to break up the monotony of all the usual grace and splendour.

I believe this is a Disaster Peak Owyhee type picture jasper.. From Oregon..

It is a nice bottle.. When I first started collecting, it was stone bottles like this that I first handled.

Hi Ileney,

Yes, it's a modern bottle, but no need to sound so apologetic about posting it on the forum!
This is a very attractive stone, and the 'landscape' effect looks impressive here. A great bottle!

Agreed!
We love small bottles here, be it new or old.

The natural landscape scenery of this bottle is very nice...

I would experiment with different stopper material to see if will bring out the beauty more.. Maybe a simple black or burgundy stopper will be very classy..

I  agree 100% with Tom, and with YT - It is a beautiful example of a modern bottle. Is it hollowed out well enough to hold a TBL of snuff ? If so, I could see myself buying it to give out snuff in the Synagogue on Sabbath, though everyone loves the 'Burning Bush' bottle Giovanni generously gave me for the purpose.  It is certainly beautiful enough to enable me to distract myself during a boring sermon!  Grin Roll Eyes

        Best Wishes,
