When I see these up for auction or for sale, they are described as snuff bottles.. I am not so sure that is a correct identification for these.

Maybe something like "inside painted bottle" ?

Are these collectible and or desireable to inside painted bottle collectors ?

Hi George

Many inside painters have painted on other objects such as vases, crystal balls beside snuff bottles.

Depending on the size, snuff bottle usually should be small enough to hold in one's hand.

As most inside painted bottles are not intend to serve their function to hold snuff, these bottles can fall under the snuff bottle category if the size is right.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Richard..

On a side note.. I have been trying to comment on the bottles you posted at your blog. I am using my Google account as an option to leave comments, but for some reason I am always redirected to sign into my account. I am sure of my log in information, but for some reason my comments are not going through..

It may well just be me, and doing something wrong,  but could you double check and see if you or maybe someone else here are able to leave comments using a Google account option ?
