Hi, I just bought a beautiful Chinese reverse painted snuff bottle at an estate auction in Chico, CA, and have been learning all about bottle painting ever since. It's such an intricate art form! I'm going to post pictures of the signature (?) on my bottle in hopes that your experts can help me translate it. I'm glad you guys are here!

Dear Anne,

    Welcome to the Forum from me as well. I live most of the year in Jerusalem, Israel, but have a summer place in County Wexford Ireland.
     I'm presently in Chicago for the annual convention of the International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society. Next year it will be in LA. Is Chico far from LA?
