All, here is another of my recent acquisitions.  It is a sophisticated bird and floral design on one side and a snowy landscape on the other, both of which are in my collecting genre.

Contemporary Cloisonné Snuff Bottle:
Simple, elegant, stylized Asian Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) and floral design on one side and a rocky snowy landscape with a bridge and pavilion on the other side.  Scenes are separated by a black boarder on the bottle sides.  Flatten moon flask shape brass base with matching cloisonné stopper.  Has a Qianlong engraved seal mark on the base.  Height is 2 5/8 inches or 6.6 cm with the stopper.

Period: Likely post 1970’s.

Condition: Very good with just minor oxidation at base along the foot rim.

Provenance:  Reported to be from single owner collection from a Manhattan estate.

Enjoy, Charll

Thanks for sharing, Charll

That is a very elegant bottle, I am normally not attracted by Cloisonne bottles, But this one is very appealing. And I like the landscape side more than the bird side.

Congratulations !

Dear Charll,

Probably I should have started with the fact that, though it is modern, this bottle is really appealing. Sorry.
I still prefer the side with the bird and the blue background. Beautiful.
Best,
Joey

Dear Charll,

I have not encountered a post 1970s cloisonné with such a nice mark although I was told that there were a lot produced.
Is it heavy?

Cheers,

YT,

It doesn't feel heavy, but it is 43.9 g.  Charll
