This is the first Peking glass bottle I have purchased for my collection. I don't know much about dating peking glass bottles, but this one struck me as beautiful. I especially like the contrast of the stopper.

I travel a lot for business. Doesn't help my collecting habit...hehe. I was in South America when I came across this bottle in an antique store. The store owner informed me that it was genuine from the Qing dynasty but had no provenance or proof. He was asking $200, I paid $150. Think I paid too much, or is this genuinely that old?

I like the bottle, and the carvings look well done.. Not so sure it is an old bottle though.. Will leave it to others with more experience to help you with..

Nice bottle regardless !

Hi Mathew,

Like George said that its a nice bottle regardless its age. I suspect its a contemporary bottle as well.

The colors, craving, polishing all point to a modern bottle , And you are right about the price, I won't pay anything more than $100 for this bottle. But the fact is that I am a cheap guy tho.Smiley

Thank you for the feedback. I guess I need some hands-on experience with some old bottles to really understand the look and feel.
