Hello All,

A quick introduction as I am posting and asking for help and advice Smiley
I am Lianne and I live in the Netherlands. I am a recent snuff bottle addict as I came across one at a Chinese auction and i thought they were remarkable small pieces of art. Since then I have bought a few, but to prevent myself from making mistakes I do not spend a lot of money on one yet. I occasionally browse the Christies and Bonhams auctions to see what wonderful bottles are out there and hope one day I can either afford to buy one or will be simply lucky and find one at a flea market !
I also bought myself a book on snuff bottles and chinese ceramics and just try to read and learn.
So I probably need your help and I already have seen there is a lot of knowledge here. All the posts on this forum are like a learning book for me, so that is great.

A warm welcome from me too dear Lianne. I am from Italy and I too am interested on Chinese porcelain, a field where I know a little bit more than in snuff bottles.

Dear Lianne,
    A warm welcome from me as well.
    I live most of the year in Jerusalem Israel, and have a summer place in County Wexford, Ireland. I used to collect all types of snuff bottles (from 1970-1992) but then focused on Inside Painted both antique and modern, antique Nephrite Jades, and antique Underglazed Blue and White (and Red) Porcelains in snuff bottles.
    There is a lot to learn, but we are all happy to share knowledge and help each other learn more and collect better.

Would like very much to see the other couple of bottles you have..

I also browse bottles at the big auction houses.. Some members here do get beautiful bottles from them.. Mostly they are out of my price range..

Any way... Maybe share another of your bottles with us ?
