It might be, be in my view, definetely NOT older than 50s, so AFTER the modern school picked up.  Painted in old style, old way, old brush style and ink.. my bet is on 50s/60s.  I have some very unusual shaped bottles from the Shandong school from that time frame, which are rudimentary in painting but are very cool from a size and shape perspective.  Wang Zhentang had a following of students that churned out thousands of bottles, but they are often 'very' sepia/brown tinted to hide the low(er) quality of the glass bottles.  This may very well be from the early beginnings of the 'Modern' Beijing school, from before WS was sent to Hengshui.  I seem to recall having seen a few of these before, but dont have an example like it.  Just a guess, based on what I seen and have, but as good as any other, I suppose...

Any signature? Are there more pics?

Nice one George.  Mid 20th century, ... I think... Because before the PRC, the vast majority (9x pct plus) of snuff bottles, still looked like they could have been used or intended for snuff.  This one is more a true display/decorative item in my view.  Hence, my reaction.
