That would be one of the "trigger" these kind of scammers prey on.

Lucky you pulled your bids. In this day/age... a deal too good to be true of a "hot" collectible area on the internet is usually quite rotten.

I know the use of photos from another site may seem questionable, but we do not know circumstances on whether this is the same seller or group of sellers working in cooperation to test various markets or marking methods.  Items purchased from the ebay seller have a 'Money Back Guarantee' under ebay's umbrella purchase program, so I will only be out a little time if there is a problem with the purchase.  Thus, if this seller does not preform ebay will get the message with a loss in revenue due to refunds.  So I have no worries at the moment.

May be he will send some bottle, but he can't send what he obviously don't has in hand. I did a quick look at his sales and, despite being myself ignorant on IP bottles and artists, it is so obvious that he can't have a so large variety of high quality bottles and sell out them at ridiculous prices without claiming any artist. I wonder how such sellers ca have only positive feedbacks.

Hopefully, we will know once Charll have the bottle. If not a real one, maybe it's one of those photo film pasted thing or some new advances in technology.

Sadly, whenever the profit is worthwhile, there are always unscrupulous smart people that can figure something out. (Photo enhanced, then photo filmed, ... maybe ink jet printed directly to bottle, maybe one day even 3-d printed imperial jade bottles...)

This seller's operation was declared a sham by Ebay.
They closed his operation down and my payment by Paypal was refunded in full - so the system did work for me, this time at least.

But he could return under another name!!

it would be interesting to know the reason why ebay did refund you. Because you did not receive the bottle or because it was a fake? If so, how you did prove to ebay that it was a fake?

We received the refund because the expectation was that we would never receive the item or items purchased.  Ebay terminated the accounts of the seller's and left no recourse to contacted the seller.  As such they were obligated to provide the refund under their guarantee policy.
