What do you think of this bottle? Could someone tell me what the writing on it says.  Thanks for your help and comments.

Hi Jo,

Very nice bottle, vividly painted.

the script can be read" Painted by Yu Jie" on A side .

B side" Out door fun, Painted in 2010 by Yu Jie" I am not sure the" outdoor fun" be translated properly or not, maybe other chinese readers can give better translation.

Hello Jo,

What a nice image, for the daughter to be looking for eggs (if that's a basket).

The first character of the title 野 can be combined with other characters to form different words like wilderness, outside, nature, primal instinct, etc...

The 2nd character of the title 趣 can be combined with different characters to form different emotions like joy, interest, delight, pleasure, taste (not physical, but more of a mental savoring) etc...

I would suggest "Delightful living in tune with nature" or "Pleasure in a simple life" or "Savoring the moment" within this context.

What is on the back side?

Warm Regards,
David

Hello Jo,

Thank you for posting the back, it fits nicely with the front. Like coming back to an old village home that you grew up in.

I think a feeling a lot of the Chinese people that left their villages/town to work in the metro can relate to.

Warm Regards,
David

Dear David,
A very perceptive comment, which helps us understand a possible reason for the subject matter, besides selling a 'typical country scene' to tourists; it could also be sold to homesick city-dwellers who miss the home and life of their youth.
    Thank you,
      Joey

Hello Tom,

Items that can evoke memories (real, subconscious or overlay triggers) are the neatest ones.

Smiley I got interested in this area, simply due to all the locked/forgotten memories/feelings triggered when I bought and received that jade/serpentine/etc... bottle.

Very powerful indeed.

Warmly,
David

Hi everyone, Surprise...I haven's been on the forum in such a long time. I wanted to say Jo posted this little bottle for me, I am recovering from a little surgery and wasn't up to much, but wanted some input...and did purchase this. The thought of this scene being agreeable because it may bring back memories of some sort is true for sure. Being raised a country girl, this little scene with the child and the chickens and simple life made me smile. So thank you all for your comments, and translation.
I need to check back in more often, this is the first bottle I have bought in such a long time, it was very exciting. We all know how much we love these little bottles, and admire the talent of the wonderful artists.
Thanks, Danna

Hello Danna,

I am new to this field and forum, very happy for you to find a memorable bottle from Jo.

That scene also reminds me of watching my kids squatting down by the beach completely immersed in some live sea shells ... and then I have to chase after their buckets that got washed away by the tide. A very nice bottle indeed.

Please have a smooth recovery and a peaceful holidays,

Best Regards,
David
