I have two agate bottles.
They can be painted on their inner surface.
Can you give me some pieces creative advice on the subjects or designs?
Thank you!

Dear Mike,
why do you think that they could be painted? They are perfectly natural and really really nice!
Congratulations

Dear Mike,
I would do a landscape in the top one, and an aquatic scene in the bottom one.  Wink
Actually, either one would work for a landscape or an aquatic scene.
In 2013 at the NYC convention, I bought an IPSB in chalcedony from Erick Schiesse, and I really like it.
And I have a Wang Xisan in chalcedony, and I like it a lot as well.
Best,
 Shabbat Shalom,
     Joey

Hi  Mike

I  also  agree  with  Giovanni.  I don't  like   inside-painted  agate  bottles   because  you can't see the   painting  clearly

(Indeed  I  wonder  at how  it is  possible to  paint  inside an agate  bottle  because  of the  difficultly to see the  painting clearly)

Cheers

Mike,

Of the two examples you posted, I will leave the first one untouched.

If I have to paint the second one, one possible subject is 东波游赤壁 ( the Red Cliff ).

I have two agate bottles with inside painting by Zhang Zeng Lou ( 张增楼 ) which I find quite pleasing and artistic. I will post them the next round.

Mike,

In my earlier posts, I was too quick to type out the Chinese characters.

Two mistakes :  波 should be 坡; and  游 should be 遊。

Dear Inn Bok,
GORGEOUS bottle!!  I believe I have a bottle by him as well. On p.127 of CIPMA (2006), the 'Nine Fish' bottle.
I love aquatic scenes, but landscapes are also great in agate bottles, in my opinion.

Dear Mike,

This is just an idea for bottle 2. I am not creative so have to rely on one of my agate bottle.

Cheers,
YT

Hi Mike,

The Red Cliff ( 东波游赤壁 ) is good for bottle #2, in my opinion.
Also, YT's composition with figures in boat looks like a perfect subject.
